Christchurch Emergency Services Credit Union
The Christchurch Emergency Services Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial co-operative registered as a credit union under Part III of the Friendly Societies and Credit Unions Act 1982
It was first registered on 29th August 1980 as a specially authorised society under the Friendly Societies Act 1909, under the name CHRISTCHURCH FIREFIGHTERS CREDIT UNION. The name change to CHRISTCHURCH EMERGENCY SERVICES CREDIT UNION was registered on 20 October 1989.
Membership to the Christchurch Emergency Services Credit Union is restricted to paid staff of the, New Zealand Fire Service (Christchurch) and the St John Ambulance Service (Christchurch), and their families and relatives
